The New Addition and The Other Two Dogs!!

On saturday Chet and I Got a new addition. His name is Grover he is about 9 months old and he has Black Fur Dark and loving brown eyes A long tail that loves to wag. He is a Black Lab. We got him mainly so that chet could take him duck hunting with him but... It turns out he is going to be a hunting buddy along with a very well mannered pet. My friend Erin Christiansen texted me a couple of weeks ago and asked if I knew anyone who wanted a black lab and Chet actually at the time was looking for one. So we told her that He wanted him. We found out all the information on him. Then on saturday Erin and her husband were up at her parents here in Fountain Green so i went to pick up Grover. When I got there he came right up to my car and I fell in love at first sight. He was very friendly and lovable. I took him in my car actually I was nervous he was going to go nuts but he just layed down on the back seat and went to sleep. I was going to put him in a kennel but turns out he was too big so I just let him sleep in my backseat to nephi.(no worries my seats are leather they actually got cleaned today.) I introduced him to my mom first she thought he was cute. Then we took him over to chets mom and dads house and he stayed in their house for quite some time. He is a very quiet lazy lovable dog. His favorite thing to do is sleep. he has only barked a couple of times since we got him. Im pretty sure the whole family is in love with him. Chet found a soft spot for him right away as well. When Chet and his dad went to the lumber store Chet asked if they could take the dog and Larry said no Chet got a very sad look on his face. We also found out that he is not gun shy we took him up to the rifle range while we practiced shooting for the deer hunt and he didnt get scared at all he actually got bored at one point and jumped out of the truck to go see what was going on around the range so Chets dad took him for a walk. When they got back Grover got in the back of the truck and actually fell asleep while we were shooting. They said any other of their dogs woulda had the place tore up and been back home after the first shot. I will tell you more about our pup as soon as we get to know him better. He is also very good with kids he actually really loves kids and babies. Oh and ATTENTION HE LOVES ATTENTION. He will cuddle up to anyone with any chance he gets.

Here he is laying on the floor in the addition of chets parents house (note they are redoing the kitchen thats the only reason he could come in.. oh and as long as he didnt pee or poop in the house which he didnt he is very well mannered. Larry told us that many times. )

Grover knows a fun trick that Erin taught him and that is to play dead you point at him and say BANG and he slowly lays down into this position of playing dead:)

DOC

This is doc he is chets pride and joy oh and everyones. He is a border collie with a little lab in his blood. He is so lovable and is so fun to play with he loves to play fetch and ride in the back of the truck and stand on the side of the bed rail (one foot is in the bed) and bark at the tire a lot. He is actually very excited for his new friend Grover to be here. At first he was really jealous of Grover but im thinkin he is warming up to him now that he knows he isnt being traded in. And also Doc is going to be a daddy. The story of this is actually really funny. You will have to ask me for the whole thing but short version. There are some people in chets mom and dads ward who have a Pure Bred Lab that they were wanting to Breed to another Pure Bred. Well Doc came up missing for a couple weeks at night and one day. When I went down to pick him up on the four wheeler one day when he was missing and we saw him on main at their house we found out what had been going on. Doc had been coming down to their house for like a week or so jumping a either 5 or 6 foot chain link fence and going in the doggie door of these peoples house because he fell in love with their dog. And a few weeks ago they told Chets dad he was going to be a Grandpa and wanted to know if he wanted to see what a pregnant dog looks like.:)

TRIGGER AKA: CHESTER

Chester is our beagle that I actually got from Chets dad who got him from Chets brother Jeb. He actually is spending time at chets dads right now while we are going to make a new kennel for all three dogs. Chester loves to chase balls play with kids and anyone that will play. He is another loving dog.
