Ute Stampede 2010

The Ute Stampede this year was extra special. It was Chets first time participating with the National Guard in the Flag Ceremony. Let me tell you it was so amazing to have him out there on the field. I think i might have gotten choked up a little bit. But it was awesome. It was nice to be able to have my Mom, My Sister In Law Mollie and My Three Nephews Talon, Kaleb and Coby there to see Chet participate for his first time. It was the boys and Mollies First Rodeo and it was Talons Birhday so it was a Big day all around. It was so much fun.
The tribute the Stampede Committee put up on their announcement board to show their support.

DAY1 All the Guard Members in the pen getting their game plan almost ready to head out.

Chets group he is 5th from the left

There he is 3rd from the right

Getting to their spot to wait for the flag!

Standing at Attention waiting for their cue!

The other half of the guys!

As he Parachutes into the arena

The crowd stood in amazement Im pretty sure every eye was on the sky at this moment. Very Touching.

Here he comes in for a landing!

The guys rush out to gather up the flag

Picking up and getting it set up

The Parachuter waves to the crowd as the guard gets the flag ready for the National Anthem

Its ready..

The boy who sang was young but he had an amazing voice and did an amazing job at the
National Anthem

Gathering up the flag

to take it in until tomorrow night.

GRAND ENTRY

The grand entry is always fun the kids around the arena get so excited to see all the people on their horses!

This is one of Chets good ole friends Kade Tedder he had fun waving at the kids.

DAY 2
Mammoth Parade
This is 3 guys from Chets Unit and Im pretty sure his Platoon too I cant tell who the 4th guy is. From Left to Right Andrew Gee, Shadley LaFevere and Tyson Edwards

This night was reserved seats so we were on the opposite end of the Arena as the night before it was fun to see it from more than one angle.
I was lucky enough to be able to have LeFevere's girlfriend there with me so i didnt have to sit by myself Sarah is such a nice girl.

The Parachuter!

THE AMERICAN FLAG! I love how big it is.
It was fun tonight because he came in right above our heads I am pretty sure my neck was kinked from starring at the sky right above my head.
The Landing!

Ready for the National Anthem night 2 they had the same kid sing.

The wave from the Parachuter as the crowd gives him a round of applause! Tonight was the Tough Enough To Wear Pink night. It was so fun to see EVERYONE in the rodeo wearing Pink.

As he sings we put our hands over our hearts to show our respect for our flag.

The act for the three nights was Motocrossed guys they did a really good job. I know they were my Nephews favorite part! (Besides seeing uncle chet of course)

The Announcer and the Bull Fighter! They put on such a great show.

NIGHT 3
By night 3 i only took a couple of pictures and since they are just like the last ones i chose my favorite of the night. I love how the Flag practically Glows.
Im already excited for next year!

See you at the 2011 Ute Stampede!
